Tilda Watson took up the position of College Archivist at the start of Michaelmas Term. Tilda is delighted to be joining the Magdalene College community, where she will be working two days a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The College’s former Archivist, Dr Ronald Hyam, has now become Archivist Emeritus.

Over the past few years, Tilda has worked in several different archives. Most recently, Tilda has been at Girton College Archives, where she will be continuing to work, alongside her role at Magdalene College.

Tilda is responsible for answering enquiries regarding the history of Magdalene College, alumni of the College and the material available in the College Archives for study purposes.  To contact Tilda, please see our ‘Meet the Libraries Team’ page.

Tilda feels fortunate to be taking up her position as Archivist at such an exciting time for the College, with the building of a new Library and Archives Centre. She looks forward to contributing to the preservation of Magdalene’s rich and varied archival collections into the future.
