Week 5 – Is Spring round the corner?

It’s week five, can we optimistically say Spring is round the corner? As we take a breath at halfway point in the term it can be a useful time to consider our wellbeing and health. In Left Cloister (Middle Room) of the College Library we have the Welfare section and Study skills section where you can find books which can help you with general wellbeing, mental health, identity, activism, relaxation and approaches to studying. Don’t forget there is also the recreational reading section in Ramsay Hall, full of an eclectic mix of non-academic reading matter to give you a break from reading lists!

Study Space

Finding a good variety of places to study can also be important in helping to manage work,  and in Ramsay Hall and the Pepys Building there is a mix of study spaces available to you throughout the day (and night in the case of the Pepys building): individual study spaces, group tables, sofas, computer workstations and window seats.

We have in total 87 study spaces in the Library and although evenings and weekends can be busy there is usually space available somwehere. Currently weekday mornings and early afternoon is the quietest time to find a space in the Library.
